Zariel began belly dancing in her teens after years of awful ballet, tap and jazz lessons. She fell in love with belly
dance and folkloric dances of North Africa and the Mediterranean as well as Europe, finding them both beautiful and
more suited for women's bodies. After years of lessons both in Houston and in Baton Rouge, Zariel discovered
Gothic belly dancing ("So that's what I've been doing all this time? Huh.") and fell in love. She offers lessons in
basic belly dance for beginners as well as goddess, fantasy and Gothic belly dance.
